The visit of Suranarak University of Technology in Thailand to Fermion Instruments was a complete success.

In May 2019, Professor Worawat Meevasana, Director of the Science Center of Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, and his four-member delegation visited Fermion Instrument Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to discuss project cooperation on cutting-edge technologies on the basis of consolidating the long-term cooperative relationship between Suranaree University of Technology and Fermion Instrument.

After visiting Fermion Instruments, Professor Worawat and his delegation visited Fermion Instruments' production and R&D base in Jiangbei New District, Nanjing. The Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, Economic Development Bureau, and Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park of Jiangbei New District warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation from Suranlali University of Technology and introduced the development status of the park to the delegation. The rapid development and mass innovation atmosphere of Nanjing left a deep impression on the delegation. Professor Worawat said that the current "Belt and Road" initiative has brought many new opportunities for the development of countries along the route.

Surakarta University of Technology is the first comprehensive public university in Thailand. It ranks third in Thailand in terms of overall ranking and first in physics and science and engineering. It also operates the only synchrotron radiation source in Thailand (https://www.slri.or.th/en/). The construction of the university has been strongly supported by the Thai government. The school's development model is based on Stanford University, aiming to promote the scientific research and technological achievements of universities to society and meet the needs of industry and national development. After 28 years of knowledge accumulation and innovation, it has cultivated a large number of high-quality talents in the field of science and technology for Thailand.

Suranlari University of Technology is an old customer of Fermion Instruments. In 2016 and 2017, it ordered two sets of closed-loop multi-degree-of-freedom cryogenic sample holders for the construction of the school's synchrotron radiation-based ARPES system. In 2018, it ordered a Cubic MBE system for forward-looking preparation research of new materials.

Sulanlali University of Technology has long-term plans in synchrotron radiation construction and new energy technology development. Fermion Instrument has rich experience in equipment research and development, technology reserves, and industrialization. Both parties agreed to carry out in-depth cooperation in market development and technical complementarity. This time, Suranlali University of Technology and Femian Instruments have reached an important cooperation consensus on projects such as supercapacitor energy storage and synchrotron radiation laboratory construction. Combined with Thailand's actual national conditions, if the low-cost solar power generation and supercapacitor energy storage technology can be fully utilized, it will greatly meet Thailand's local electricity needs. The project has received strong support from the Thai government. However, the technology is still in the laboratory stage. Suranlali University of Technology hopes to carry out in-depth cooperation with Femian Instruments, and at the same time, with the help of China's industrial chain advantages, promote the technology to the market better and faster, and realize the technological update of Thailand. In addition, Suranlali University of Technology is preparing for the second national synchrotron radiation laboratory, and the two sides have also reached a consensus on the cooperative development of various instruments and equipment.

Both Suranarayi University of Technology and Fermion Instruments expressed their confidence that through deeper and longer-term cooperation, they will contribute to the friendship between China and Thailand and the industrialization of scientific research results, as well as to the cooperation in the field of science and technology of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
